La Suzuki M 1800 R fait peut \u00eatre m\u00eame mieux puisqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019image de son physique imposant con\u00e7u pour le march\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain, cette grosse japonaise affiche une solide fiche technique. Ainsi, le Twin 4 temps, double arbre \u00e0 came en t\u00eate, 4 soupapes par cylindre, refroidi par eau de 1 783 cm3 d\u00e9veloppe 120 ch. L\u2019al\u00e9sage x course de 112 x 90.5 mm en fait l\u2019al\u00e9sage le plus gros jamais con\u00e7u sur un moto de s\u00e9rie, mais la course t\u00e9moigne de la volont\u00e9 de privil\u00e9gier la puissance au couple par les ing\u00e9nieurs. La M 1 800 R est donc un monstre de puissance qui tutoie les 240 km\/h ! La partie-cycle est compos\u00e9e d\u2019un cadre double berceau en acier, d\u2019une fourche avant t\u00e9l\u00e9scopique invers\u00e9e, d\u2019un monoamortisseur arri\u00e8re, d\u2019un frein avant double disque \u00e0 \u00e9triers \u00e0 fixation radiale \u00e0 4 pistons (grande premi\u00e8re sur un custom), d\u2019un frein arri\u00e8re \u00e0 disque avec \u00e9trier \u00e0 2 pistons. On retrouve \u00e9galement les \u00e9l\u00e9ments typiques d\u2019un custom avec un angle de colonne de 32\u00b0, 130 mm de chasse, 1 715 mm d\u2019empattement, une longueur de 2 460 mm, un poids \u00e0 sec de 300 kg environ et un pneu arri\u00e8re de 240 mm de large. D\u2019un point de vue stylistique, la Suzuki M 1800 R se d\u00e9marque bien de la concurrence avec une ligne fluide et \u00e9lanc\u00e9e assez futuriste bien mis en relief par la t\u00eate de fourche tr\u00e8s personnelle, les jantes en forme de lames tranchantes et surtout le double combin\u00e9 d\u2019instrumentation : l\u2019un digital sur le guidon et l\u2019autre analogique sur le r\u00e9servoir. Magnifique\u2026ment d\u00e9mesur\u00e9e !
