Sa naissance remonte \u00e0 1986 lorsque Elf d\u00e9cida de marquer l\u2019histoire de son sceau en s\u2019attaquant \u00e0 divers records de vitesse avec cette fantastique moto, d\u00e9riv\u00e9e des motos d’endurance de 1980-83, et dot\u00e9e d\u2019un 4 cylindres en ligne de 1000 cm3 d\u00e9veloppant 125 ch. Comme vous pouvez le constater, son car\u00e9nage avait fait l\u2019objet de tous les soins des ing\u00e9nieurs de la marque avec une \u00e9tude approfondie en soufflerie pour assurer la meilleure stabilit\u00e9 possible \u00e0 hautes vitesses. De la vitesse il y en avait puisque l\u2019Elf R a atteint les 321 km\/h sur l\u2019anneau de Nardo en Italie. Pas moins de 6 records tomb\u00e8rent ce jour l\u00e0 (14 septembre 1986) dans les mains de E. Courly, C. Le Liard et H. Auriol.<\/p>\n
