Si Honda a repris quasi \u00e0 l\u2019identique le maxi scooter de la marque, Honda  n\u2019a pas pour autant b\u00e2cl\u00e9 la machine.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur on retrouve le m\u00eame bicylindre en ligne \u00e0 injection et refroidissement liquide que son a\u00een\u00e9, mais rabaiss\u00e9 \u00e0 398 cm3. Plac\u00e9 tout comme le 600 en position horizontal, ce moteur affiche la m\u00eame vigueur le m\u00eame potentiel digne des gros maxi-scooters.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 ch\u00e2ssis, Honda garde le m\u00eame type de cadre poutre\/double berceau en tubes d\u2019acier, con\u00e7u pour encaisser la puissance initiale de 600 cm3.<br \/> Le syst\u00e8me de freinage \u00e9prouv\u00e9 sur le 600 reste  identique sur le 400 et garde par cons\u00e9quent le fameux syst\u00e8me exclusif Honda \u201cCombined Brake System\u201d qui associe les disques avant et arri\u00e8re pour une r\u00e9partition optimale des forces de freinage.  <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement, le SylverWing 400 reprend les m\u00eames \u00e9quipements que son a\u00een\u00e9 le 600. Il est \u00e9quip\u00e9 de l\u2019antid\u00e9marrage HIIS.
