Seul petit d\u00e9faut de son armure, son prix malheureusement tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9.<br \/> Si ce type de machine est souvent construite au Etats-Unis et cela depuis bon nombre d\u2019ann\u00e9es, la France commence \u00e0 s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 ce march\u00e9 et quelques entreprises  rel\u00e8vent le gant.<br \/> C\u2019est l\u2019exemple de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.side-bike.com\/pages\/accueil.htm\">Side-Bike<\/a> situ\u00e9e \u00e0 Colombe qui depuis 15 ans con\u00e7oit des side-cars et qui depuis 2001 produit des trikes de toute beaut\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019exemple du Celtik 2006.<br \/> la grande nouveaut\u00e9 de Roadster-trike est le fait qu\u2019il poss\u00e8de 3 roues directrices. Selon son concepteur, Jean-Claude Perrin, \u201c la \u201cfuite\u201d vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du virage du train arri\u00e8re, limite consid\u00e9rablement le risque de retournement du v\u00e9hicule. Ce gain permet  de placer les passagers dans une position moto (centre de gravit\u00e9 haut) sans p\u00e9naliser la stabilit\u00e9. Pour le m\u00eame rayon de braquage, l\u2019orientation de la roue avant est beaucoup plus fiable que sur un v\u00e9hicule \u201cmono roue directionnelle\u201d. Cette particularit\u00e9 autorise l\u2019utilisation d\u2019une train avant triangul\u00e9 (sinon non compatible avec la longueur du v\u00e9hicule). Par une astucieuse g\u00e9om\u00e9trie des trains arri\u00e8res, la partie de la pouss\u00e9e lat\u00e9rale (en virage) est utilis\u00e9e pour assister la rotation des guidons. Il en r\u00e9sulte une incomparable douceur de conduire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur, Side-Bike s\u2019est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 PSA et \u00e0 utiliser pour cette machine un moteur de 2 litres, 4 cylindres 16 soupapes plac\u00e9 en position centrale arri\u00e8re coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 une boite de vitesse automatique adaptive.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement on retrouve biensur 3 places et un volume de bagages embarqu\u00e9 de plus de 200 litres.<br \/> La petite s\u00e9rie et la qualit\u00e9 de fabrication expliquent le prix : compter de 23 000 \u00e0 30 000 \u20ac selon les options. Side Bike esp\u00e8re en vendre au moins 100 unit\u00e9s la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e.
