La boite a \u00e9t\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement corrig\u00e9e pour un passage plus en douceur des vitesses.<br \/> Tout comme sa petite s\u0153ur la yamaha <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/2005\/10\/yamaha_wr250f_2.html\">WR250F<\/a>, les am\u00e9liorations apport\u00e9es \u00e0 la WR450F se portent principalement sur le ch\u00e2ssis. Les WR 2006 sont \u00e9quip\u00e9es d&rsquo;une fourche sp\u00e9cialement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es pour les conditions de roulage enduro. Sur la plupart des fourches \u00e0 cartouches, la vitesse de l&rsquo;huile (et donc l&rsquo;amortissement) est r\u00e9gul\u00e9e par une soupape constitu\u00e9e de clapets. Sur les WR 2006, la soupape b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie en plus d&rsquo;un ressort h\u00e9lico\u00efdal qui est con\u00e7u pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 de tr\u00e8s petites sollicitations \u00e0 la compression. Cela a permis d&rsquo;obtenir un amortissement m\u00eame \u00e0 tr\u00e8s faible vitesse, situation tr\u00e8s courante dans la pratique de l&rsquo;enduro. Le comportement de la moto est ainsi consid\u00e9rablement am\u00e9lior\u00e9, afin de r\u00e9duire la fatigue du pilote. Le bras oscillant a quant \u00e0 lui \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9.
