Avec une certaine ressemblance avec le Yamaya T Max, le 500 Xciting a un aspect un peu lourdaud, juste am\u00e9lior\u00e9 par des optiques bien dessin\u00e9es et un pare-brise enveloppant. <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement, le maxi scooter est assez complet. Frein de parking, feux de d\u00e9tresse, emplacement pour un t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable sous la selle qui reste d\u2019ailleurs ridiculement petite, un dossier de si\u00e8ge conducteur r\u00e9glable. Sur le tableau de bord, tout est bien lisible, m\u00eame le compte tours d\u2019aucune utilit\u00e9 avec un variateur. <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 moteur, on trouve un monocylindre maison de 498,5 cm3, refroidi par eau, 1 ACT et 4 soupapes, qui d\u00e9livre 43 chevaux \u00e0 7500 tr\/mn. On ne trouve pas l\u2019injection mais un simple carburateur. Coupl\u00e9 avec une transmission automatique par variateur, le Kymco reste vif m\u00eame s\u2019il souffre de vibrations plus importantes que la moyenne.<br \/> En utilisation urbaine, le 500 Xciting reste maniable et assez efficace dans la circulation et cela malgr\u00e9 un freinage peu rassurant et une suspension bien trop dure. Sur route les 43 chevaux de la b\u00eate vous emm\u00e8ne autour des 130 km\/h \u00e0 condition de vous arr\u00eater fr\u00e9quemment pour faire le plein : le r\u00e9servoir ne contient que 12,8 litres.<br \/> Conclusion, le Kymco reste surtout attrayant par son prix 5600 \u20ac, soit le prix d\u2019un 250 cm3.
