Avec un tel nom, on pourrait penser que cette moto peut tout franchir, pas vraiment. Sa dimension et son poids pr\u00e8s de 215 Kg la cantonne au mieux aux dunes de sable.<br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 look, on a la vague impression de retrouver les lignes de la Honda Varadero.<br \/> Pour la partie m\u00e9canique, on retrouve un bicylindre en V 4 temps de 997, 62 cm3. <br \/> C\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9quipement,  une belle planche de bord  impressionne par la richesse des informations fournies. Elle est constitu\u00e9e par deux instruments analogiques et un panneau multifonctions digital qui indique\u00a0: heure, temp\u00e9rature ambiante et de l\u2019eau du circuit de refroidissement, niveau de carburant. Ce panneau renseigne aussi, par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire d\u2019une inscription \u00ab\u00a0service\u00a0\u00bb sur la p\u00e9riode des r\u00e9visions et indique m\u00eame des risques de verglas.<br \/> Le cadre tout alu offre une fourche avant t\u00e9lescopique MarZocchi de 5O mm de diam\u00e8tre. A l\u2019arri\u00e8re la suspension est assur\u00e9e par un mono-amortisseur hydraulique Sachs dont le d\u00e9veloppement est r\u00e9glable gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une molette tr\u00e8s accessible.<br \/> Le freinage se fait par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire, \u00e0 l\u2019avant, d\u2019un double disque Brambo de 300 mm avec \u00e9trier 2 pistons et \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re d\u2019un disque  Brambo de 272 mm avec \u00e9trier 2 pistons.<br \/> En parcourt urbain, l\u2019Aprilia 1000 est plut\u00f4t agr\u00e9able \u00e0 piloter gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une position de selle basse qui permet  aux jambes les plus courtes d\u2019atteindre le sol et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9troitesse du cadre et du r\u00e9servoir (contenant pourtant 25 litres). Elle se r\u00e9v\u00e8le maniable d\u00e8s les premiers tours de roues avec un rayon de braquage serr\u00e9 et un centre de gravit\u00e9 bas. Les manoeuvres, m\u00eame \u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat, s\u2019effectuent sans aucun probl\u00e8me. La position de conduite est tr\u00e8s naturelle. Le guidon est ergonomique tandis que les repose-pieds semblent \u00e0 la bonne hauteur pour les pilotes de toutes tailles. Le passager est \u00e0 l\u2019aise que le conducteur gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une selle extr\u00eamement moelleuse, deux poign\u00e9es bien plac\u00e9es et suffisamment de place pour ses jambes.<\/p>\n<p>Avec ses 98 ch, la route est son lieu favoris, fougueuse \u00e0 tel point que l\u2019on a l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre sur une GT.
