Ce fut chose faite avec \u00e0 la clef 10 titres de championnats du monde en 125 et 250 cm3. En parall\u00e8le, Mondial produisait quelques rares mod\u00e8les pour des particuliers fortun\u00e9s.<br \/>L\u2019historie de la marque italienne croise celle d\u2019une marque japonaise, et non des moindres, puis c\u2019est Soichiro Honda en personne qui est venu rencontrer les fr\u00e8res Boselli et plus particuli\u00e8rement Giuseppe Boselli. De leur rencontre viendra le dont d\u2019une moto Mondial de course \u00e0 <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/index.html_7.png\">Honda<\/a> pour que les ing\u00e9nieurs nippons puissent l\u2019\u00e9tudier, ce qu\u2019ils firent et gagn\u00e8rent en 1961 les championnats 125 et 250 cm3. Cette moto victorieuse n\u2019\u00e9tait en faite qu\u2019une Mondial recarross\u00e9e. Malheureusement la marque italienne est tomb\u00e9e en d\u00e9su\u00e9tude et dans l\u2019oubli le plus complet apr\u00e8s une faillite caus\u00e9e par la non exploitation du nom de la marque sur des mod\u00e8les fabriqu\u00e9s en grandes s\u00e9ries\u2026<br \/>Roberto Ziletti, riche entrepreneur italien, croise la destin\u00e9e de la marque lorsqu\u2019il d\u00e9cide de la racheter avec ses nombreux deniers en poche. Pour se faire, il lui faut une carrosserie et surtout un moteur. Il contacte donc Suzuki mais l\u2019affaire capote au dernier moment, c\u2019est pourquoi Ziletti s\u2019est tourn\u00e9 vers Honda qui, habituellement n\u2019autorise jamais l\u2019exploitation d\u2019un moteur seul, s\u2019est souvenu que 45 ann\u00e9es auparavant les donn\u00e9es \u00e9taient invers\u00e9es, et du coup a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de devenir le fournisseur de moteur exclusif de la marque Mondial. Une bien belle histoire r\u00e9unissant des hommes passionn\u00e9s et donnant naissance en 2003 \u00e0 la Mondial Piega.<\/p>\n<p>   <a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/mondial_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Mondial_2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/mondial_2.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"230\"  style=\"float: left;margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px\" \/><\/a> Ainsi, sous sa robe assez proche d\u2019une <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/index.html_8.png\">Ducatti 999 R<\/a>, la Mondial Piega cache un moteur Honda v-twin SP1 de 999 cm3. Ce bicylindre en V 4 temps \u00e0 4 soupapes par cylindre d\u00e9veloppe une puissance de 136 ch \u00e0 9 500 tr\/mn pour un couple de 110 Nm \u00e0 8 500 tr\/mn. La partie-cycle est compos\u00e9e d\u2019un treillis tubulaire chrom\u00e9, d\u2019une fourche avant t\u00e9l\u00e9hydraulique invers\u00e9e de 46 mm Paioli, d\u2019une suspension arri\u00e8re monoamortisseur \u00d6hlins, de 2 disques de frein avant de 310 mm avec \u00e9triers \u00e0  4 pistons et d\u2019un disque arri\u00e8re de 200 mm avec \u00e9trier \u00e0 2 pistons. Bien que modeste, ce syst\u00e8me de freinage Brembo n\u2019a aucun mal a stopper les 179 kg \u00e0 vide de la Piega. La Mondial Piega est une vraie hypersportive sans concession notamment au niveau de la position de conduite et du confort. Elle est vive mais souffre d\u2019un l\u00e9ger essoufflement au del\u00e0 de 8 500 tr\/mn et sa conduite est dans l\u2019ensemble assez pi\u00e9geuse. Malheureusement, comme toutes les belles italiennes \u00e0 deux roues (<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/index.html_8.png\">MV-Agusta<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/index.html_8.png\">Ducati<\/a>, \u2026) la Mondial Piega fait cher payer son exclusivit\u00e9 avec un prix tournant aux alentours de 25 000 \u20ac.
