La nouvelle g\u00e9rance de la s\u00e9rie, le Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG), promettait des changements pour rendre la s\u00e9rie plus comp\u00e9titive apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es de domination des Suzuki, mais il semblerait que cela ne plaise pas \u00e0 tous les manufacturiers.<\/p>\n<p>Kawasaki partait le bal en protestant contre les clauses voulant que les pi\u00e8ces non standardis\u00e9es sur les machines de courses soient homologu\u00e9es et disponible, incluant guidons, \u00e9chappements, radiateurs, etc., que les jantes ne soient pas plus l\u00e9g\u00e8res ou petites que celles d&rsquo;origines, interdisant au passage les anciennes de 16 pouces et demi (sur pression du fournisseur de pneumatiques, pr\u00e9f\u00e9rant ne faire que du 17 pouces pour toutes ses s\u00e9ries de Superbike, incluant le Canada et l&rsquo;Allemagne), et dans le cas de Kawasaki, leur r\u00e9servoir sur mesure qui courait sous la selle, abaissant le centre de gravit\u00e9, et certainement pas d&rsquo;origine.<\/p>\n<p>American Honda et American Suzuki se sont joints \u00e0 la fronde, mena\u00e7ant de boycotter les essais hivernaux. Seul Yamaha pour l&rsquo;instant se dit satisfait des nouvelles r\u00e8gles et va son chemin dans sa pr\u00e9paration de la nouvelle saison.
