Passionn\u00e9 de m\u00e9canique depuis toujours et de motos plus particuli\u00e8rement, il accumulera des sous, en travaillant chez le forgeron du coin, dans le but d\u2019ouvrir un atelier de m\u00e9canique, ce qu\u2019il fera \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 16 ans. Le temps d\u2019\u00e9tablir sa r\u00e9putation que la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale \u00e9clate, mais Morini y voit l\u2019occasion d\u2019y parfaire ses connaissances et s\u2019enr\u00f4le dans le 8e r\u00e9giment motocycliste bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Padoue.<br \/>Int\u00e9ress\u00e9 non seulement par la m\u00e9canique, mais aussi par la vitesse, Alfonso Morini retravaille avec succ\u00e8s les machines qu\u2019il utilise en comp\u00e9tition. Ainsi, en 1924, un autre m\u00e9canicien et pilote, Mario Mazzetti sugg\u00e8re une alliance \u00e0 Morini. De l\u2019association na\u00eetra sous le nom MM un deux temps, deux vitesses de 125 cm3. <\/p>\n<p>Avec cette machine, ils seront de toutes les comp\u00e9titions d\u2019Italie, en en remportant plusieurs, en faisant bien partout. Ces succ\u00e8s attireront de bons pilotes vers ses machines et bient\u00f4t, une \u00e9curie MM digne de ce nom verra le jour. En 1927, lors du Grand Prix des Nations \u00e0 Monza, sa petite MM125 \u00e9tablira six records du monde dans sa cat\u00e9gorie, records qui, deuxi\u00e8me guerre mondiale aidant, tiendront 20 ans. En 1933, une 175 cm3 d\u00e9crochera un record mondial de vitesse avec 162 km\/h. Ces succ\u00e8s et exploits faisaient de MM les seuls Italiens capables de tenir t\u00eate aux \u00e9quipes et machines \u00e9trang\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/10\/14\/morini2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"260\"  alt=\"Morini2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/10\/14\/morini2.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>De nature plut\u00f4t individualiste, Morini d\u00e9cide de voler solo en 1937. Mais les odeurs de guerre et le r\u00e9gime fasciste tirent le nouveau Moto Morini vers l\u2019utilitaire, produisant des triporteurs de 350 et 500 cm3 plut\u00f4t que de nouvelles b\u00eates de courses. Heureusement, le succ\u00e8s commercial sera au rendez-vous, ce qui permettra \u00e0 Moto Morini de reprendre rapidement ses activit\u00e9s apr\u00e8s la guerre, et cela malgr\u00e9 le bombardement de ses installations \u00e0 Bologne.<br \/>D\u00e8s 1946, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre petite RT 125 de DKW tant convoit\u00e9, Moto Morini peut reprendre la production de motos. Mais \u00e9tant le m\u00e9canicien qu\u2019il est, Alfonso Morini ne peut se contenter de copier le mod\u00e8le allemand. Il mettra le 2 temps \u00e0 sa main, conservant ses principales qualit\u00e9s de solidit\u00e9 et de simplicit\u00e9. Avec ses 4.5 chevaux pour une vitesse maximale de 80 km\/h, ses 3 vitesses (lent, vite et \u00e0 peine un peu plus vite), son cadre en berceau d\u2019un seul tube, et ses roues de 48 centim\u00e8tres, cet engin, un peu limite pour une Moto Morini, aidera l\u2019Italie dans ses efforts pour sortir du marasme de l\u2019apr\u00e8s-guerre. Mieux encore, la T125 de par sa modestie pouvait se permettre un peu d\u2019ambition, et un mod\u00e8le \u00absport\u00bb, l\u00e9ger, de 8 chevaux pouvant atteindre les 130 km\/h vit le jour. La jeunesse italienne avait alors une machine acceptable pour caresser du genou les courbes des circuits.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/morini3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"242\"  alt=\"Morini3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/10\/14\/morini3.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Ce sera le d\u00e9but d\u2019une longue tradition entre l\u2019Italie et le sport motoris\u00e9 sur 2 roues. Cet h\u00e9ritage, bien qu\u2019amorc\u00e9 avec aplomb d\u00e9j\u00e0 au d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle par ce m\u00eame Morini, aurait pu \u00eatre an\u00e9anti par les horreurs d\u2019une effroyable guerre.
