C&rsquo;est \u00e0 vingt ans et deux courses de la fin qu&rsquo;il devient le champion du monde des 125 cc, le plus modeste des championnats motocycliste de vitesse, apr\u00e8s avoir remport\u00e9 dimanche le Grand Prix de Phillip Island. Mais ne boudons pas notre plaisir, au del\u00e0 du bonheur de voir un pilote de l&rsquo;Hexagone l&#8217;emporter, c&rsquo;est un peu la maigre et symbolique revanche de la fili\u00e8re fran\u00e7aise sur ses cons\u0153urs latines. Cahin-caha. Propuls\u00e9 relativement jeune sur le devant de la sc\u00e8ne par le Grand Prix de l&rsquo;Avenir organis\u00e9 par <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffmoto.org\/\">la FFM<\/a> (qui s&rsquo;affiche aussi sur son <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shark-helmets.com\/shark_fr.htm\"><em>Shark<\/em><\/a> RSR2, ici) qu&rsquo;il remporte en 2002, il signe l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e suivante avec une \u00e9curie priv\u00e9e, un team satellite d&rsquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/france.aprilia.com\/\">Aprilia<\/a>. A 15 ans alors, il termine 28\u00e8me avec cinq petits points au classement de son tout premier championnat du monde des 125. Ainsi d\u00e9bute l&rsquo;histoire d&rsquo;un v\u00e9ritable champion \u00e0 la maturation lente.<\/p>\n<p>Et progresse, en atteignant le 18\u00e8me rang en 2004. Mais c&rsquo;est avec son arriv\u00e9e au guidon de la Honda (toujours pas une &quot;officielle&quot;) du team Scot en 2005 qu&rsquo;il d\u00e9croche sa premi\u00e8re victoire &#8211; la seule pendant une disette qui dura cinq ans ! &#8211; en Turquie au GP d&rsquo;istanbul.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/10\/07\/moto_mike_di_meglio_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"298\"  width=\"470\" alt=\"Moto_mike_di_meglio_3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/10\/07\/moto_mike_di_meglio_3.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Il finira onzi\u00e8me du classement. Malheureusement, au sortir de cette m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, le seul guidon qui s&rsquo;offre \u00e0 lui (le seul qui lui reste en fait) est celui de la nouvelle \u00e9curie sponsoris\u00e9e par la FFM, encore elle. La machine, m\u00e9diocre au regard de ses concurrentes directes sur le plateau, l&rsquo;oblige \u00e0 revoir ses pr\u00e9tentions \u00e0 la baisse. <em>Consid\u00e9rablement<\/em> \u00e0 la baisse: il \u00e9choue \u00e0 la 25\u00e8me place avec 8 petits points cette ann\u00e9e l\u00e0. Ajoutez \u00e0 ces bleus au moral quelques bleus et contusions, bien r\u00e9els ceux l\u00e0, dus \u00e0 une saison \u00e9maill\u00e9e de nombreuses chutes. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/moto_mike_di_meglio_4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"302\"  width=\"470\" alt=\"Moto_mike_di_meglio_4\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/10\/07\/moto_mike_di_meglio_4.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Il revient en 2007 vers le team Scot (un team qui actuellement va de <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.sports.yahoo.com\/26092008\/16\/jir-team-scot-separation-annoncee.html\">d\u00e9ception en d\u00e9ception<\/a> dans les \u00e9preuves de vitesse). Mais en raison du gel des moteurs voulu par Honda, il y retrouve une machine d\u00e9pass\u00e9e, dans une cat\u00e9gorie domin\u00e9e par les Europ\u00e9ennes de chez KTM et&#8230; Aprilia, et termine l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e \u00e0 la 17\u00e8me place avec 42 points. <\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9but 2008, ce sont les Finlandais de chez <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajo.fi\">Ajo Motorsport<\/a> qui lui mettent sous les fesses une moto comp\u00e9titive: l&rsquo;Espagnole (ou neo-italienne) de chez <a href=\"http:\/\/www.derbi.com\/fr\/\">Derbi<\/a>.
