Et pourtant, ces noms sont doux aux oreilles des motards.<br \/>Harley-Davidson est fier de la motorisation de ses machines, et si de modestes modifications et des ajustements sont apport\u00e9s d&rsquo;ann\u00e9e en ann\u00e9e, un moteur bien n\u00e9, peut \u00eatre assur\u00e9 d&rsquo;avoir une belle et longue carri\u00e8re devant lui.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/moteurs1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"248\"  alt=\"Moteurs1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/moteurs1.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Le premier de notre famille des 4 V-Twins est le Flathead, en service \u00e0 partir de 1929 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge fort avanc\u00e9 de 47 ans en 1976. Il fut surnomm\u00e9 \u00abt\u00eate plate\u00bb parce que ses soupapes sont situ\u00e9es le long des cylindres, plut\u00f4t que dessus. D&rsquo;une construction plus simple, ce type de moteur, malgr\u00e9 une puissance modeste, fera des malheurs sur les circuits de terres battues, apr\u00e8s avoir servi lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/vld1934.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"257\"  alt=\"Vld1934\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/vld1934.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de la bande est le Knuckelhead. Il fut et est encore un des favoris chez les amoureux des choppers et bobbers. Son look particulier et sa puissance appr\u00e9ciable en font le candidat id\u00e9al pour qui souhaite donner une allure classique \u00e0 sa machine. Apparu en 1936, donc d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 au milieu de la grande d\u00e9pression, il apportait, outre sa puissance accrue par rapport au Flathead, un tout nouveau syst\u00e8me de recirculation de la lubrification; ce qui n,emp\u00eachait pas les fuites, mais offrait tout de m\u00eame un r\u00e9el progr\u00e8s. Il tire son nom de la forme de la cache en alu aux allures de jointures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/el1939.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"265\"  alt=\"El1939\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/el1939.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/moteurs2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"262\"  alt=\"Moteurs2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/moteurs2.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Le Panhead, avec une prolifique carri\u00e8re s&rsquo;\u00e9tendant de 1948 jusqu&rsquo;au milieu des ann\u00e9es 60, propulsait les fameux Electra Glide de la police. Encore une fois, sa lubrification sera sa principale am\u00e9lioration, avec bien s\u00fbr son allure moderne et ses t\u00eates en forme de po\u00eales renvers\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/fl1951.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"265\"  alt=\"Fl1951\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/fl1951.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Esth\u00e9tiquement parlant, le Shovelhead est le plus beau des moteurs Harley (mais je ne vous en tiendrai pas rigueur si vous pr\u00e9f\u00e9rez le Knucklehead). Malheureusement pour lui, ce moteur \u00e0 t\u00eate de pelle a eu mauvaise presse. Plus lourd que ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs, il est aussi de la sombre \u00e9poque AMF qui verra les efforts de rationalisation se r\u00e9percuter sur la qualit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;ensemble des composantes des motos Harley. Mais le Shovelhead a pour lui le d\u00e9marreur \u00e9lectrique, tout comme d&quot;\u00eatre la rel\u00e8ve du Panhead sur les Electra Glide.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/leblogmoto\/files\/2012\/07\/electraglide1966.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"297\"  alt=\"Electraglide1966\" src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/07\/02\/electraglide1966.jpg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, les Evolution et Revolution s&rsquo;acquittent avec z\u00e8le de la t\u00e2che de propulser une gamme \u00e9tendue de machines. Et j&rsquo;ai m\u00eame un faible pour le Evolution sur les Buell.
