En usage depuis moins de deux ans par les forces multinationales, le diesel est le choix logique pour qui a besoin d&rsquo;une b\u00eate de somme capable d&rsquo;un effort constant et d&rsquo;une fiabilit\u00e9 exemplaire.<br \/>Mais la raison principale \u00e9tait celle du carburant disponible en zone de guerre. Et ce carburant universel est le <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/JP-8\">JP-8<\/a>, une essence \u00e0 base de k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne utilis\u00e9 par les militaires avec tout ce qui a un piston. Moins inflammable que le super sans-plomb de notre quotidien, donc plus s\u00fbr pour les militaires, il est malheureusement moins volatile et plus polluant en cas de d\u00e9versement.<\/p>\n<p>Du KLR 650 reste le ch\u00e2ssis, la transmission et quelques composants moteurs. L&rsquo;engin est donc tout nouveau et devait r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 un cahier des charges misant sur une consommation minime et une robustesse \u00e0 toute \u00e9preuve. D&rsquo;une cylindr\u00e9e de 611 cm3 pour un poids \u00e0 sec de 165 kilos, il est tout de m\u00eame capable d&rsquo;accomplir le 0-100 sous la barre des 10 secondes.<br \/>Mais ce n&rsquo;est pas sa vocation, on lui demande plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;une fois en marche, ce ne soit pas la machine qui d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&rsquo;arr\u00eater, mais bien son pilote.
