Avec des pertes annuelles d&rsquo;environ 3 millions de dollars, l&rsquo;aventure de ce v\u00e9hicule d&rsquo;exception \u00e9puisait ses ressources plus rapidement que la machine elle-m\u00eame celles de son pilote.<br \/>Issu de l&rsquo;imaginaire de Daniel Campagna et raffin\u00e9 par <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deutschmandesign.com\/francais\/t-rex.htm\">Paul Deutschman<\/a>, le T-Rex \u00e9tait construit par une quinzaine d&rsquo;artisans qui sortaient une petite centaine de v\u00e9hicules par an. Et le coeur du probl\u00e8me \u00e9tait l\u00e0, dans le volume trop faible pour assurer une rentabilit\u00e9, cette derni\u00e8re se situant \u00e0 environ 250 T-Rex. Il est tout de m\u00eame \u00e9tonnant d&rsquo;apprendre qu&rsquo;un produit encens\u00e9 partout, avec un aussi fort pouvoir \u00ab<a href=\"http:\/\/www.radio-canada.ca\/par4\/vb\/vb20000315.html\">tripatif<\/a>\u00bb, n&rsquo;ait pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 trouver plus d&rsquo;adeptes.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, l&rsquo;aventure qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise du T-Rex vient de prendre abruptement fin. Min\u00e9 par un marketing insuffisant, un dollar canadien fort sapant les profits des exportations et un design fut\u00e9, mais fig\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9but, le T-Rex n&rsquo;aura pas su \u00e9voluer. Il \u00e9tait un produit de luxe, et comme tel, il se devait de s\u00e9duire, surprendre et surtout se r\u00e9inventer, ce qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;aura pas fait. Devenu un vieux beau, il n&rsquo;excitait plus l&rsquo;imagination, d\u00e9j\u00e0 satur\u00e9e \u00e0 outrance, de ses potentiels pr\u00e9tendants.<br \/>La rumeur veut que la production reprenne aux \u00c9tats-Unis avec de nouveaux investisseurs, courant 2008. Deux versions distinctes du T-Rex seraient produites, celle \u00e0 motorisation \u00e9lectrique en Californie, et le mod\u00e8le classique quelque part sur la c\u00f4te est am\u00e9ricaine. Mais rien n&rsquo;est encore officiellement enclench\u00e9, et le mod\u00e8le ann\u00e9e 2008 toujours une vue de l&rsquo;esprit. Il reste 8 T-Rex 2007 disponibles au Qu\u00e9bec, et pour qui h\u00e9sitait, c&rsquo;est le moment ou jamais. Car, m\u00eame si la production reprenait ailleurs, la qualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;assemblage ne serait pas, tout de go, au m\u00eame niveau.
