Il y a trois ans, les pr\u00e9visions entrevoyaient des ventes de plus de 400,000 unit\u00e9s, mais plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;une fuite vers l&rsquo;avant, c&rsquo;est un recul des ventes se situant pour 2007 autour de 330,000 motos, soit pr\u00e8s de 20,000 de moins que l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<br \/>L&rsquo;automne fut difficile pour HD, avec une baisse de ses profits de 15%, la chute de son action de 74$ en janvier 2007 \u00e0 40.49$ \u00e0 la <a href=\"http:\/\/investor.harley-davidson.com\/stock-index.cfm?bmLocale=fr_CH\">cl\u00f4ture des march\u00e9s<\/a> hier soir, et ce, malgr\u00e9 un rachat massif de titres, dans le but de le soutenir et de donner un bien maigre bonbon aux investisseurs. Sans parler de la semaine de mise \u00e0 pied sans salaire pour plus de 5000 employ\u00e9s en novembre. Mais, si la tendance se maintient, avec la r\u00e9cession annonc\u00e9e et d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien amorc\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis, 2008 ne sera gu\u00e8re mieux.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/clabedan.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/01\/14\/xr1200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"282\"  src=\"http:\/\/www.leblogmoto.com\/images\/2008\/01\/14\/xr1200.jpg\" alt=\"Xr1200\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Seul point positif de ce bilan financier, est la bonne performance des motos Harley en Europe, o\u00f9 la croissance des ventes se maintient. Et puis, il y a la sortie imminente du XR1200, juste pour l&rsquo;Europe. Digne h\u00e9riti\u00e8re des XR750 d&rsquo;Evel Knievel et du peu vendu, mais grandement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 XR1000, cette XR est peut-\u00eatre le cha\u00eenon manquant d&rsquo;une marque, prestigieuse certes, mais stagnante en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;innovation. Les z\u00e9lotes en Am\u00e9rique ayant boud\u00e9 le V-Rod pour cause de l\u00e8se-majest\u00e9 aux dieux des customs et des chromes, pas \u00e9tonnant que les nouveaut\u00e9s n&rsquo;en soient pas avec ces Fat Bob et autre Rocker.<br \/>Mais tous ces d\u00e9boires, sont peut-\u00eatre une bonne nouvelle, du moins pour nous, amateurs nord-am\u00e9ricains d&rsquo;inusit\u00e9s. Ce XR1200 fera peut-\u00eatre le saut par-dessus l&rsquo;Atlantique. Puisque la base s&rsquo;essouffle, il serait sans doute temps que Milwaukee s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la marge, pr\u00eate pour des machines distinctives, mais \u00e0 fort potentiel nostalgique.
