At the end of 2005, they will withdraw from the WRC and completely dedicate themselves to make an HDI engined-car win. They will also take part in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorsportsblog.com\/archives\/2005\/06\/audi_teams_all_1.php\">Le Mans<\/a> Endurance Series at Spa, Silverstone, N\u00fcrburgring and <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Istanbul<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">.<br \/>The feasibility of the project still has to be confirmed early 2006, but then, the first prototypes should be on track late 2006. Besides, they will be fitted with a particulate filter called DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System). Thus, Peugeot seems to confirm a trend they had initiated with the diesel RC prototype in 2002. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This is not the first time a carmaker wants to win <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Le Mans <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">with technological devices of its own: in 1991, <a href=\"http:\/\/insidetracknews.blogspot.com\/2005\/03\/alms-new-mazda-powered-p2-to-debut-at.html\">Mazda<\/a> had won the famous race with a car propelled by a rotary engine, which was prohibited the following year\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/smgenglish.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/rc.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"347\" alt=\"Rc\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.thesocialmedia.com\/petrol-head\/files\/2012\/07\/rc.jpg\" width=\"450\"  \/><\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the French carmaker\u2019s new goal for 2007, as they told it yesterday.
