The Powershift transmission has been developed by Volvo in cooperation with Getrag. According to the carmaker, the Powershift gearbox cuts fuel consumption by 8 percent in the Volvo C30, S40 and V50.<\/p>\n<p>The Powershift is built in Koping, Sweden at Volvo&#8217;s transmission plant.
